Ok someone went really wacko here. It is quite possible that the person who wrote it is wrong, as it is the internet, but it's worth looking into. Either way, Wendy's is better than McDonald's, so I can avoid the latter as much as possible.
I have good news for you. I did a search and discovered that as of last year McDonald's has completely disinvested from Chipotle. So you don't have to give up your burritos! However, McDonald's does operate Boston Market (I didn't know that), so if you are going to avoid one you should probably also avoid the other.
I went to the NGLCC site and discovered that other corporate sponsors include Wells Fargo, which holds our mortgage, Citibank (which is our main credit card), American Airlines (where we bought our Grenada tickets), Office Max, IBM, and lots of other names you would probably recognize. It is awfully hard in our current economy to totally avoid doing business with those whose agendas you object to, but I applaud your effort to make a difference in a concrete way. Whatever we can do on an individual basis is a positive step!
